1. Your documents never leave your device
The tools and the editor on this website run the Docura engine inside your browser tab (WebAssembly). The PDFs and images you choose, and any passwords you type, are read and written in the tab and never sent to us or anyone else. Results exist only in your browser until you download them.
The Android app works the same way: documents are opened, edited and saved on the phone. It has no account system and no server for files.
2. Android app permissions
- No storage permission: files come through the system pickers you use to open and save them.
- Microphone: asked for only when you record a voice comment.
- Foreground service: lets Read aloud keep reading in the background, with a media notification.
- Scanning uses your phone's camera app; Docura asks for no camera permission.
3. This website
This site is static and sets no cookies of its own. It uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and page speed without cookies and without identifying you. Download links may lead to Google Play or GitHub, which have their own policies.
4. Children
Docura is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
