Open the editorFrequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every tool on this site and the editor run the Docura engine inside your browser tab (WebAssembly). Your PDFs are read and written in the tab and never sent to us or anyone else.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
What can I do in the browser?
Merge, split, compress, extract or delete pages, rotate, turn images into a PDF, and add or remove a password. The full editor adds reading, comments, forms, Fill & Sign and page editing.
How big a file can I use?
Files are processed in your browser's memory, so very large PDFs (hundreds of MB) can fail on phones. A laptop handles most documents; the Android app handles more.
Does it work offline?
Once a page has loaded and you've run a tool, your browser caches the engine. The Android app works fully offline.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. The editor needs WebGPU or WebGL2, which every current browser has.
Is there an app?
Yes, Docura for Android (10 or later) uses the same engine and works offline. See the download page.
